Additional Resource Provision

Barlby Additional Resource Provision (ARP) provides children with Autism the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by an outstanding mainstream school with the support of autism specialists and an environment which enables small group learning alongside and/or in addition to the regular classroom.

This autism resource base enables children to follow an individual programme tailored to support them and address key areas of development, in particular communication and social emotional skills through the provision of evidence-based intervention.

Admissions are organised by caseworkers from our Local Authority (LA), who aim to prioritise residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). The Orchard is named on pupils’ Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) in Section I, as well as in the provision for Section F.

The Orchard is commissioned for 18 places from Reception to Year 6.
