Online Safety

At our school, online safety is an important part of helping children to grow into confident, responsible and safe digital citizens. As technology and online services play such a large part in children’s lives, we teach pupils from an early age how to use the internet safely, respectfully and responsibly. Online safety is taught across the school in an age-appropriate way, with learning designed to build pupils’ knowledge and understanding as they move through the year groups. It is also revisited in other areas of the curriculum whenever relevant.

We know that keeping children safe online is most effective when school and home work together. We therefore encourage parents and carers to talk regularly with their children about how they use the internet, the games they play, the apps they access and the importance of speaking to a trusted adult if anything online worries them.
