About Us
Welcome to Barlby Primary School! We are proud to serve tour local community and have been doing so for over 120 years but now occupy an impressive state- of- the- art building with first class facilities. We provide our children with a high quality education which not only sees them achieve and exceed national expectations, but also provides the balance required to become curious, independent, lifelong learners.
Our ethos is centred on meaningful inclusion and every pupil at Barlby is nurtured and celebrated as an individual. The school values of Respect, Determination, Creativity, Resilience and Ambition underpin our work and are clearly evident in daily life. Our pupils experience an exciting, broad curriculum which is supplemented by enrichment opportunities, educational visits and community events. We are delighted to hold Lead Music School status with the Tri-borough Music Hub as this is testament to our commitment to the arts, a broad curriculum and access to a wealth of opportunities. We are fortunate to have specialist teaching for Music and P.E and we also have a team of Special Educational Needs specialists on the staff.
Barlby is a community school of choice serving a wonderfully diverse, vibrant local community. We have a strong Parent, Teacher & Friends Association (PTFA) which delivers on an exciting calendar of special events and celebration throughout the year. Our 7.30am breakfast club and playcentre is delivered ‘in-house’ to safeguard standards and is firmly focused on support for our families. In addition, we facilitate a number of workshops, meetings and opportunities for families to access external supports and see the work of the school first hand.
If you would like to see our school in action and brilliant children busy in their learning you are very welcome to visit and can make an appointment by calling the school office or e-mailing info@barlby.rbkc.sch.uk.
